After the devastating fire in a square house in Eltendorf in Burgenland, the willingness to help among the population is great. Donations are now being collected for the family.
Dramatic scenes took place on Wednesday when the house in Eltendorf burned down – the “Krone” reported. Twelve fire brigades with about 130 men were deployed to extinguish the flames. Fortunately, the family of five who lived there managed to save themselves in time. “I would like to thank the emergency services for their prompt assistance,” explains Mayor Christian Schaberl.
However, the house is uninhabitable after the fire. Due to the ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire, the building is currently not allowed to be entered.
Accommodation was therefore arranged by the municipality. “Moreover, the willingness of the population to help is really huge,” reports Schaberl. After the devastating fire, many people came forward and offered their support. The community has therefore created a donation account.
In-kind donations are not currently required. “We want to help the family get through this difficult transition period,” said Schaberl.
