No longer needed – Corona labs are now going under the hammer

Date:

The “golden age” for corona testers is over: now the technology is selling out. The range of online auctions is large.

Business with the virus has finally dried up – at the latest with the lifting of (almost) all measures. After more and more laboratories and test lines are blowing their employees into the fresh air with massive layoffs, the equipment is now also being sold off. For example, there is currently an entire Covid laboratory for sale on an internet platform.

Pre-analytical system, starting price: 31,000 euros
So if you want to get your hands on some souvenirs from the pandemic in your basement or stay ahead of future health disasters, check out www.aurena.at recommended. In the Lower Austrian town of Großebersdorf, the showpiece of the auction is a pre-analytical system including centrifuge unit for a hefty 31,000 euros. Self-collectors should come up with a bigger means of transport, the thing weighs more than a ton.

If you want to cool your frozen pizza to minus 85 degrees, there’s an ultra-low frozen bargain for around 1600 euros – but beware: there are already offers, the price is rising. Incubators are also for sale. Handy for keeping lunch warm until the kids come home from school. The temperature range is from 5 to 100 degrees.

Even with the best will in the world, the Automated Sample Transfer Processing System is unlikely to be used in private households. And at a proud 25,000 euros, it is probably a bit too expensive even as a souvenir. The auctions run until February 24 at 11:15 am.
