A 48-year-old man threatened to kill his ex and her new boyfriend in Seiersberg/Pirka. As a result, a large-scale police operation began on Shrove Tuesday.
The witness immediately raised the alarm: a 48-year-old from the Graz area told him around 6:30 p.m. on Shrove Monday that he was going to shoot his ex-partner (47) and her new boyfriend. During a risk analysis, the police found out that the 48-year-old had two firearms. Other witnesses confirmed this and a large-scale operation was launched.
Arrested after two hours
Five police patrols, including two from the Rapid Reaction Forces (SRK-SIG), a service dog patrol and agents from the Kalsdorf and Unterpremstätten departments arrived on the scene. A stun gun with six cartridges was found with the heavily drunk man. When he was arrested around 8:30 p.m., the man offered no resistance.
48-year-old not yet heard
The man could not be heard yet because he was heavily drunk. A residence and entry ban and a provisional ban on weapons were issued. Further investigations are ongoing, police said.
