The police in the Tyrolean Ötztal are now looking for a rabid winter sports enthusiast: after a collision with a skier on Tuesday, the unknown snowboarder continued. When the woman’s companion wanted to confront him, he completely panicked and attacked the German with his fists.
The 42-year-old German and his Polish companion (35) were on Tuesday morning around 11.20 am in the ski area Obergurgl on the blue slope No. 6 when the woman collided with the unknown snowboarder. Fortunately, the skier was not injured. Nevertheless, the unknown man fled immediately after the accident. The skier’s 42-year-old companion managed to follow him. In front of Hotel Jenewein he confronted the snowboarder.

As a result, a fuse may have blown with the stranger: “During the conversation, he hit the German several times in the face”, the police describe what should have happened then. The snowboarder then fled again, leaving the 42-year-old injured.
The unknown snowboarder is about 1.70 meters tall, wore a brown jacket and spoke German. Police are asking witnesses who can help clear up the matter to contact Sölden’s office (059133 7108).
