They treated countless patients, some of them wrongly, and stole a lot of money. That is why two dentists from the Steyr district recently stood before the court. The verdicts against the brothers are now final.
The decisions of the Steyr Regional Court for two dentists are final, and neither the defense nor the prosecution will appeal, the court said on Thursday. The 46-year-old main defendant was sentenced to nine months in prison and a fine of 6,000 euros for serious commercial fraud and negligent bodily harm. His brother, who was ten years his senior, was sentenced to six months in prison and a fine of €3,600 for negligent bodily harm.
Numerous accusations
Both doctors harmed the health of numerous patients in the election and cashier ordination of the first defendant for improper treatment. The younger brother has also defrauded social security and patients for years by, among other things, charging for services not provided. Numerous victims had joined the process as private parties and were referred to civil law.
