A tragic murder took place in Vienna-Liesing on Tuesday evening. A 22-year-old is said to have stabbed his mother (54).
The emergency services were alerted after an argument between the two escalated. Shortly afterwards, the 22-year-old pulled out a knife and attacked his mother with it. The woman suffered life-threatening stab wounds. Neighbors called an ambulance and police.
The officers immediately began CPR. She was taken to hospital by paramedics a short time later. She died shortly afterwards from her serious injuries. The 22-year-old was arrested on the spot and is in custody.
The National Investigation Department took over the investigation. The apartment was sealed for further investigation.
