Manhunt for perpetrators – woman brutally attacked at home by masked people

Home invasion in Lower Austria: Around 11 p.m., two masked men stormed a family home in Rohrendorf Krems on Tuesday night. A 76-year-old was brutally beaten and robbed. The suspects made off with money. The search for the perpetrators is on-going.

An extremely brutal home burglary took place in Rohrendorf near Krems on Tuesday evening around 11 p.m. Two masked people wearing balaclavas and gloves stormed a family home, threw the 76-year-old homeowner to the ground and then beat the woman with their hands and fists. The two foreign-accented strangers demanded money from the victim. The two then searched the family home for valuables and then fled.

The 76-year-old called her neighbors for help, who then called 911. The pensioner sustained a cut to her head and was taken to hospital by ambulance. A feverish search is underway for the two perpetrators. The National Investigation Department took over the investigation. Police are hoping for tips from the public.

Perpetrator description and clues
The previously unknown perpetrators are probably a man about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a large build and a second man, probably a little smaller and thinner.
