Black bus, masked men armed with knives, looking for children: this horror message from Kirchberg an der Pielach quickly spread through the St. Pölten district. But the alleged kidnappers were the invention of a boy who couldn’t stand an energy drink.
There has been a lot of excitement in quiet Kirchberg an der Pielach since Thursday. Before the primary school, masked men would have tried to lure children into a black bus and a white car. They are even said to have used knives to imbue them with an unknown substance. The mother of an affected child filed a police report and the horror story quickly spread through social media.
“I don’t like the taste”
Only a teacher from the local primary school, who had also read about the alleged kidnappers, could provide clarification. She had seen a 10-year-old drinking from a can of energy drink at the exact moment the incident allegedly occurred. “I don’t like it anyway,” the ten-year-old told her.
The truth
And apparently he didn’t tolerate the booze either. When he got home, the boy vomited. Probably out of fear of admitting the reason for his nausea, he made up the above story. Only after the police asked the family again about the teacher’s statement did the ten-year-old come out with the truth.
Now the executive is trying to clarify and close the schools in the region.
