It’s a topic that causes a lot of emotion and discussion and bothers many seers – gender. Or rather, the gender-sensitive language. The “Krone” now addressed the question why ORF & Co. the audience often moderated.
“The killer left no trace!” – “Or the murderess!” – “Now don’t get on my nerves with your gender again!” – A dialogue from the “crime scene” that takes a beating on a subject, so many compatriots do not find it funny at all: 71 percent of Austrians reject “gender sensitive” language in the mass media, which repeatedly leads to violent reactions. Although there is a clear generational conflict, the younger generation is much more open to gender (see graph below).
