A family from Moosbrunn in the Lower Austrian district of Bruck an der Leitha had many guardian angels: While they were playing outside in their garden, a car crashed through the fence. He barely missed her.
A loud bang suddenly muffled the laughter of children in the garden of an apartment building in Moosbrunn on Friday afternoon. Because suddenly there was a red car in the middle of her garden. There was a big hole in the stone fence. Parts of the car and debris from the wall were everywhere. Fortunately, the family that was just playing in the meadow was missed.
Cross the intersection unrestrained
How the spectacular accident could have happened is still under investigation. All that is clear is that a 46-year-old woman was driving her husband’s powerful vehicle. At the so-called Horvat intersection, she probably not only ignored the right of way, but also drove uncontrollably across a larger green area before breaking through the wall with great force. The woman was also lucky: she suffered only minor injuries, but was taken to the hospital for a check-up. A breathalyzer test was negative, police said. However, the vehicle is a total loss.
Pedestrian hit by car at night
The rescue workers were also called in Krems in the night from Sunday to Sunday. A 53-year-old was hit by a car shortly after midnight on Landersdorfer Strasse while crossing the road and was flung to the ground. The injured were taken to the nearby university hospital. The driver was a 21-year-old from the Krems district.
Police are still investigating how the fatal accident happened.
