In the coming week, the temperature in Austria will rise and fall continuously. Temperatures are expected to reach 20 degrees on Monday, with heavy rain expected on Tuesday. towards Friday it will be sunny again. That is what Geosphere Austria predicts.
On Monday, high and medium cloud fields will move in from the west and will noticeably slow down the sun again and again. In the north and east it will also be cloudy for a few hours and from the Innviertel region to the Vienna area it can be drizzly or light rain. At the latest in the afternoon, however, the sun will gain the upper hand in the west, and eventually the sun may briefly reappear in the far east.
Monday up to 20 degrees possible
The wind blows weak to moderate from the southeast to the southwest, in the mountains and in the extreme east there is a strong, strong south wind. The early temperatures at the beginning of the week are minus three to plus five degrees, the maximum daytime temperatures are twelve to twenty degrees.
However, it should be colder again on Tuesday. An Italian low and a cold front from the northwest bring mostly dense clouds and often rain over the country on Tuesday. During the day the snow line slowly drops to 1,500 meters above sea level and from the west it drops to about 1,000 meters from noon. Only in the far east and southeast will it be slightly cloudy at first, with a few rays of sunshine before the rain clouds cloud the sky. After early temperatures of two to ten degrees, the maximum daytime temperatures end at seven to fourteen degrees.
Snow showers expected in the north
Clouds will build up on the northern side of the Alps on Wednesday and snow showers are more common here, as well as in the north in general. In the east and south, on the other hand, the residual clouds of the retreating fracture zone often break loose in the morning and there is an alternation of sun and clouds here. The wind is blowing moderate to moderate, in the east also strong from west to northwest. The morning temperatures reach minus three to plus five degrees, the maximum daytime temperatures four to eleven degrees.
From Thursday the weather will be mostly sunny
Mostly sunny weather will dominate on Thursday. Only occasionally do some high and medium cloud fields move across the sky from the west and temporarily obscure the sunshine. The wind is weak to moderate and shifts from east to south everywhere, with morning temperatures of minus six to plus one degree and maximum daytime temperatures of seven to twelve degrees.
Friendly and partly sunny weather will prevail in large parts of the country on Friday. A screen of high cloud fields can also obscure the sunlight noticeably, the sky appears milky white in many places. The wind usually blows only weakly, but in the mountains and in the eastern lowlands, strong winds from the southeast freshen up to the south. Geosphere Austria predicts early temperatures at minus six to plus three degrees, maximum daytime temperatures at ten to 17 degrees, with the highest values on the slightly foehn northern side of the Alps.
