A group of young snowboarders recently got the fright of their lives while skiing at a ski resort near the town of Myoko when they were suddenly attacked by a wild boar. The irritated animal ran towards the young men and snapped at two of them (see video above).
A winter sports enthusiast who just went crazy during a meal in a cabin filmed the dramatic images. “At first I thought it was a skier’s stray dog. Then I zoomed in closer and realized it wasn’t a dog at all,” said Australian Raymond Tan, covering the events that unfolded in late February, according to SWNS news agency.
Snowboard used as a shield
His footage shows several attempts by the wild animal to attack. The snowboarder attacked first can also deflect multiple headbutts with his board. Then the wild boar runs further up the slope and attacks another athlete. He also helps himself with his sports equipment and pushes the animal away. Miraculously, no one was injured.
According to media reports, the police were able to apprehend the animal a short time later and gave permission. “We were absolutely shocked,” Tan recalls.
