Two days after the breakneck chase with two injured police officers, a Tennengauer (20) is now in prison in Puch (Salzburg). “Pre-trial detention has been imposed,” says Peter Egger of the regional court.
However, the suspect remained silent about the allegations during the detention hearing. As reported, the 20-year-old drove away from officials in St. Koloman with his car and an 18-year-old passenger while on drugs. A police officer drew his service weapon and even fired shots – the 20-year-old, who had no driver’s license, continued to race unimpressed. Only a roadblock by police vehicles finally brought him to a stop.
Weapon ban imposed
According to police, the 20-year-old was able to secure several starter and softgun weapons – in addition to cartridges and ammunition – in both his car and his apartment. A gun ban was immediately issued. He faces criminal charges of four counts of defiance of state authority, multiple threats to physical security and serious damage to property and serious bodily harm.
