This same reason has motivated the cessation of activity this Friday, which will be the first of the year. The suspension is settled in the flexibility pocket agreed in the collective labor agreement.

The Mercedes Benz plant in Vitoria-Gasteiz will cease operations again next Friday, March 24, due to the “high accumulation” of stocks in the markets where the vehicles it produces are sold.
This same reason has led to the cessation of activity tomorrow, Friday, at the Álava factory – the largest in the Basque Country with 5,000 employees – in what will be the first to take place this year.
The suspension of the activity was communicated to the staff this Thursday and will be settled in the agreed flexibility pocket in the collective labor agreement.
The factory that Mercedes-Benz has in the capital Alava had to shut down for a week in December last year, also because of the high accumulation of stocks in the markets.
