A serious traffic accident took place near Markt Allhau in Burgenland on Sunday afternoon, in which a total of five people were injured.
Several vehicles collided shortly after 3 p.m. on the B50 on the approach road at Markt Allhau (Oberwart district) for an initially unknown reason, according to the state security center Burgenland. Several people were trapped in their vehicles.
After the injured were freed by emergency services, they were flown to nearby hospitals.

Four fire brigades were deployed, several rescue vehicles and the police were present. Two ambulance helicopters were also deployed. The ÖAMTC emergency medical helicopters “Christophorus 16” and “Christophorus 12” from Graz took the injured to hospital.
