An animal hater should be out and about in Nickelsdorf. Several animals already had poisoning symptoms. A dog is currently fighting for her life.
Animal lovers in Nickelsdorf are concerned. There have been several recent cases of mild and severe poisoning in dogs and cats. A two-year-old female was hit particularly hard on Monday afternoon: “Sunny” is currently fighting for her young life at the veterinary clinic in Hainburg.
Everything started as always. Whirlwind “Sunny” and her friend “Bonny” drove to the dog zone in Nickelsdorf during the woman’s lunch break. “We were there from one to about a quarter to two,” says owner Susanne Katzberger.
Even though she almost always has her eye on the dogs when they disappear into the bushes, she doesn’t see what they’re up to. At such a moment, the bitch must have eaten poison. Unnoticed by the owner. Susanne Katzberger brought her four-legged friends home after the usual exertion and drove back to work.
The bitch’s luck: Susanne’s sister was at home and noticed that the animal’s behavior had changed. She began to shake, every sound must have hurt her. Fortunately, she immediately called her sister and reported “Sunny’s” symptoms. “She responded quickly and we immediately went to the veterinary clinic,” says the woman from Nickelsdorf.
Whether your bitch will make it, that will show today or tomorrow. At the moment, the four-legged friend is being treated for the symptoms. “It’s probably a pesticide, according to the vet, ‘Sunny’s’ reaction is too strong for her to just eat grass. Something must have been set up.”
A report is made on Tuesday, on Monday she has enough to do, take her dog to the clinic and warn friends and acquaintances, but also inform the community. Susanne Katzberger’s request: “Take care of your animals, a madman is coming!”
