A 31-year-old man visited his 29-year-old ex-girlfriend and her parents in Vienna-Ottakring on Wednesday around 8 p.m. with a stun gun. Actually, the man only wanted to get his son back, but then an argument broke out. The father immediately drew his gun.
The 31-year-old threatened his ‘ex’ with the gun by aiming at the apartment from the street. The 29-year-old woman’s father then stormed into the street and a scuffle ensued with the 31-year-old, in which the father suffered minor injuries to the hand and foot.
He immediately fled in his car
In the wake of the hunters, a shot was suddenly fired from the alarm gun. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. The suspect then fled in his car. “The reason for the dispute may have been previous disputes about the common son’s care times,” the Viennese police explained.
Suspect threw gun into the Danube
The gun was thrown into the Danube by the ex-boyfriend during his escape. When the police contacted him, he turned himself in to a police station in Vienna-Ottakring. After his interrogation, the man was released. In addition, an entry and approach ban was issued against the man and a report was filed under the Weapons Act because he was in possession of a gun despite the official weapon ban.
