Gruesome scenes at a city festival in Solingen, Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia): An attacker is said to have killed several people and seriously injured others. The murder weapon was a knife.
According to the newspaper ‘Bild’ the attack started around 21:45. The perpetrator looked “Arab” and was on the run. The police are active on a large scale. According to the first information the suspect had previously “indiscriminately stabbed people”.
According to regional reports, rescuers are fighting for the lives of nine people.
