A man without citizenship (24) in Innsbruck should have blown his fuses completely on Tuesday afternoon. After an argument, he attacked two Iraqis with a knife and then set fire to a vehicle.
Wild scenes took place on Tuesday around 5:20 p.m. in Innsbruck’s Schützenstrasse. After an altercation between a 24-year-old stateless person and two Iraqis aged 24 and 43, the stateless person suddenly pulled out a knife and threatened the two men.
“To settle the situation, the two threatened men called the stateless man’s 30-year-old cousin,” police said. When the man arrived on the scene with his car, the 24-year-old did not stop at his cousin either. He first demolished the vehicle with an iron bar before dousing the car with petrol and setting it on fire moments later.
Firefighters extinguish fire, man arrested
The vehicle was completely destroyed as a result. Professional firefighters extinguished the fire. The 24-year-old was arrested by the police and transferred to the police station.
