Horrifying scenes took place on Wednesday during an initially routine speed measurement by the police in Thiersee, Tyrol. A motorcyclist almost ran over a police officer and crashed into the police car. But that wasn’t the end…
Officials from the Kufstein Inspectorate carried out speed measurements in Thiersee around 4:40 p.m. A 21-year-old resident was measured at too high a speed with his motorcycle. The officers wanted to arrest the driver and subject him to a check.

However, he ignored the arrest and nearly knocked down a cop. He took off at high speed and hit the service vehicle, damaging it. The driver then took off on foot, but was eventually stopped by officers.
The motorcycle steering wheel was taken to the police station for further processing. The officers also discovered that the motorcycle had a completely forged number plate. The driver is prosecuted for multiple offences.
