So it starts in the fall – the nursing course, a “prestige project” of the ÖVP. A large-scale campaign aims to draw young people’s attention to the offer. The goal of Minister of Health Martina Rüscher is to start with 20 students in the autumn. These are trained as nursing assistants and nursing assistants. “It’s a very attractive job with great career opportunities,” says Rüscher. The big, wide world of nursing would be open to future graduates. That’s the theory.
