The Russian authorities have American journalist Evan Gershkovich arrested on espionage charges. Gershkovich works for the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal in the Moscow correspondent. They accuse him of “carrying out espionage activities for the US government”, as confirmed by the Federal Security Service (FSB).
The FSB has emphasized that the journalist, who has been detained in the city of Yekaterinburg and He faces a prison sentence of up to 20 years.is suspected of “acting on behalf of the United States to getting information constituting state secrets about the activities of one of the companies of the Russian military-industrial complex”.
