Ukrainian soldiers must face an unusual foe in a trench: a beaver has made himself comfortable in the earthen fortifications. Video of a failed attempt to drive the animal out of the ditch went viral on social media.
“You can definitely tell he’s Ukrainian, he stands up for his country to the end!” commented one Twitter user on the funny video showing the soldiers’ failed battle against the fur-wearer. A soldier grabbed the animal by its long tail and pulled it out of the trench – the beaver still looks very calm and collected.
But when the Ukrainian released the beaver, the fur bearer suddenly became fast. He takes his legs in his hands and just runs past a soldier, almost as if he wants to attack the man. But then the animal plunges back into the abandoned earthen fortifications, where it leisurely strolls deeper into the trenches.
It is not known exactly where the video was made.
