Peeing tourist almost hit by S-Bahn

A 40-year-old American urinated in the tunnel in Munich, forcing an approaching S-Bahn to stop quickly. The S-Bahn just missed the man. A breath alcohol test found 1.37 promille. The tourist is being prosecuted and fined 700 euros.

In the night from Sunday to Monday, the 40-year-old entered the railway area behind the barrier in the S-Bahn tunnel at the Isartor stop to relieve himself. When he wanted to return to the platform, the S-Bahn driver who had just arrived saw him and made an emergency stop just in time.

Police patrol expects pee tourist
The train barely missed the tourist through the narrow tunnel and came to a stop next to him, the federal police said. The man and his companion then boarded the S-Bahn and drove to Ostbahnhof, where an alerted Federal Police patrol was waiting for him.

A voluntary breath alcohol test showed that the man had a blood alcohol level of 1.37. After police action, officers released the man. The man awaits a criminal case for dangerous interference in train traffic. In addition, the competent public prosecutor ordered the withholding of a deposit of 700 euros.
