Voices From Trailers – Mechanic Makes Horrible Discovery In Truck

Date:

A Turkish truck driver (68) was stopped by the claws of a wrong-way driver on Wednesday afternoon because he accidentally entered the southern autobahn from the Techelsberg rest area on Lake Wörthersee. During the repair, the employees of a towing company made a surprising discovery…

The 68-year-old drove onto the southern autobahn towards Villach at about 2pm on Wednesday, triggering the wrong-way driver’s claws and subsequently damaging the tyres. The vehicle with Polish registration was taken by a towing company to a company site in Villach for repair. “The trailer was parked about 50 meters from the workshop. At that time there was no reason to look at the sealed trailer,” says Waltraud Dullnigg of the state police.

Pushed for quick repairs
Meanwhile, the truck driver was visibly nervous and called his supposed boss. “The towing company informed him that the driver had to stay in a hotel and the rest of the process would take place the next day,” says Dullnigg. This made the man on the phone very restless and asked for a repair as soon as possible. The mechanics immediately started working.

Heard voices in the trailer
“Around 9 p.m., one of the employees heard noises and voices coming from the trailer. Movements inside could be seen using a thermal imaging camera,” the researchers said. The alarmed police officers then opened the trailer and could hardly believe their eyes. The trailer contained 35 refugees from Bangladesh, Nepal and Egypt. “The people were hypothermic and must have endured more than 70 hours without care,” explains Dullnigg.

On site, the migrants were given their first drink and taken to temporary accommodation by several police patrols. The 68-year-old Turk was immediately arrested.
