A 40-year-old woman was sitting with her children – aged two and five – and her partner (38) in a taxi in Vienna when she suddenly threatened the 59-year-old taxi driver and her husband with a knife. It is not yet clear why the woman lost her cool. The knife suddenly disappeared without a trace.
It was around 3:25 am on Wednesday in Vienna-Donaustadt when the attack took place. In front of her children, the woman threatened the two men with the knife. The police were immediately alerted. At the scene, officials found a stab wound in the upper arm of the 38-year-old. However, none of those involved could say where the injury came from.
Partner had to go to hospital
The man was treated on an outpatient basis at a nearby hospital and nothing happened to the 59-year-old taxi driver. The woman has been temporarily detained. An entry and approach ban and a weapons ban have also been issued against them, the Viennese police report.
The couple has already been questioned by officers
However, officers were unable to find the knife. The interviews with those involved have already taken place. The suspect denies the charges, the man claimed the right to confiscation. The woman is currently being held by police.
