On Easter Sunday, a vehicle rolled over several times on the A2 Südautobahn after skidding on the wet road.
Shortly before 3 p.m. there was an accident on the A2 in Carinthia. A 38-year-old from Klagenfurt had skidded with his car on the southern Autobahn A2 towards Vienna in the Kreuzer area on the sodden road for unknown reasons and had lost control of the wheel. “The car rolled over several times and came to a stop after 50 meters in the first lane,” the police described the accident.
No alcohol involved
The driver of the car and his 48-year-old passenger were undeterminedly injured in the accident and had to be taken by ambulance to Klagenfurt Accident Hospital. An alcohol test conducted at the scene was negative, police said.
The salvage and clearance work was carried out by the FF Poggersdorf and the FF Völkermarkt with a total of six vehicles, which meant that the A2 had to be closed to all traffic towards Vienna between 3 and 4 pm. Significant damage was caused to the car.
