The Vienna court has already established that the suspect was only imagining the affair between her husband and a former boyfriend. The criminal case has already been negotiated. Nevertheless, the arguments continue: the victim of stalking does not give up and demands what is due to her.
It is a constant back and forth in the Vienna regional court. One insists on court costs of 287 euros, the other on her innocence. The second pursued and insulted her – former – girlfriend: In the room there would have been an affair with her husband.
None of the women want to let go
The criminal case for stalking has long since been settled: the 36-year-old was banned from contact and approach. Now private prosecution is hotly debated. At the expense of the defense and the judge: “A ceasefire would be the only sensible solution among adults,” Judge Gerald Wagner tries to advise the victim.
The 36-year-old’s lawyer almost begs, “We must put the past to rest.” And only when he feels sorry for the court fees on behalf of his client can the private prosecutor accept. “That’s a good result for both of you,” concludes Wagner, addressing the two women, the negotiation – both are now going their separate ways.
