Too many unanswered questions – boy should be in an institution: judges stop teaching

Date:

A bang in the case of Julian, the Carinthian boy who has to go to an institution for mentally disturbed offenders after a scuffle on the football field: The Graz Higher Regional Court quickly rejected the application for admission – too many questions are still open. But what’s next for Julian?

Julian’s name is of course not Julian. Because otherwise everyone in the small Carinthian community would know who it was. It’s bad enough for the boy. Because there have been problems in his family for years, Bureau Jeugdzorg keeps coming up with new measures for the boy and his brothers and sisters. Apparently they’ve had little effect on him so far. Otherwise, the developmentally delayed youth wouldn’t be in such a bleak situation, wouldn’t face an even grim future in a closed facility for mentally disturbed offenders, where murderers and child molesters might be his neighbors.
