Woman in trauma room – large-scale operation: chain collision at Viennese barracks

Date:

At around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, there was a large-scale operation in Vienna-Mediling near the barracks. The professional rescue service and the professional fire brigade in Vienna were deployed. Several people were injured in the crash – a woman (42) had to be taken by the rescue service to the trauma room of a Viennese hospital.

After the accident on Edelsinnstraße, in which several vehicles were involved, a large-scale action by the Viennese professional rescue service followed. One of the victims, a 25-year-old woman, was treated at the scene. She didn’t need to go to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation
“A 42-year-old woman was seriously injured in the accident. The victim had to be taken to the shock room of a hospital in Vienna with several broken bones,” said Daniel Melcher, spokesman for Vienna’s professional rescue service.

Another woman (51) suffered bruises – she also had to go to the hospital afterwards. Recordings from a reader-reporter from “Krone” show the large-scale operation and the fatal consequences of the pile-up in Vienna’s 12th district. Several rescuers were present. However, it is not yet known how the collision could have happened and is the subject of an investigation.
