They’ve done it again: Monday morning, climate activists of the “last generation” blocked a busy street in Innsbruck. After the turn of the Südring last week, this time the demonstration took place on Haller Straße.
Around 8 a.m., the climate activists blocked Haller Strasse in the area where it intersects Anton-Rauch-Strasse. The police arrived quickly. As a spokesperson told the “Krone”, the roadway was then cleared and reopened to traffic.
Similar obstacles occurred in this area in Innsbruck’s early morning traffic.
Blocked south ring last week
It is not the first time that climate activists in Innsbruck have expressed their displeasure in this way. The southern ring had only been blocked for the past week. The result was major traffic congestion.
Five people – three Austrians and two Germans – had their hands glued together and had to be carried onto the pavement by the police. You have been reported.
