A car and a bus collided in Hohenems in Vorarlberg on Monday morning. The 74-year-old driver had overlooked the bus coming from the left when turning left. Two bus passengers suffered minor injuries in the accident.
The 74-year-old motorist originally stopped around 10:30 a.m. for a bus coming from the right at the intersection of Goethestrasse and Graf-Maximilian-Strasse. But when he turned left onto Graf-Maximilian-Strasse, he must have overlooked the bus coming from the left. The two vehicles then collided.
Two occupants suffered minor injuries in the collision. They independently went to the LKH Hohenems to clarify their injuries. The accident caused significant material damage to the bus: the window of a side door was shattered, the front bumper and the right-hand headlight suffered extensive damage. The car with the hood pushed back and dented, on the other hand, is probably a total loss. A breathalyzer test from both drivers was negative.
