In Deutschlandsberg (Styria) a cow escaped from the pasture on Wednesday afternoon. The 600 kilogram animal walked around the B76 until it was stunned and caught.
On Wednesday around 4 p.m., the cow came from a pasture in Hollenegg. The emergency call only reached the police 40 minutes later: an animal was walking around on the B76. The cow ran towards the urban area of Deutschlandsberg.
In Keltenweg and Grazerstraße, the cow wandered between residential areas and damaged fences and raised beds. Four police patrols were deployed to ensure the animal did not run back onto the main road.

Finally, on the orders of the official veterinarian, a private gunman stunned the cow to such an extent that she could be restrained with a rope in her dazed state. She was loaded onto a trailer by her owner and taken to the stables.
