The drivers end up behind bars – only when one of them unpacks do the detectives get on the trail of the human trafficking mafia.
Early Thursday morning, the last stop for a Bulgarian smuggler was at Loiblplas: he had eight Turks with him – including three children – who were traveling without papers. The man should probably have taken a simpler car; an American Cadillac catches the eye on the winding pass road at 1367 meters above sea level! Only a few hours later, a “colleague” is in the dock of the Klagenfurt regional court. The process shows the tricks of the smugglers’ gangs.
