A 65-year-old farmer fell unnoticed into a cesspool on his farm in Kronstorf. After relatives reported him missing, multiple fire departments pumped the vulture out of the shaft and found the man’s body.
A single farmer fell into a cesspit on his farm in Kronstorf without eye or ear witnesses. After the 65-year-old failed to keep an appointment on Saturday morning, a check on his yard found that the wooden lid of the cesspool was apparently broken.
Found dead in a deflated shaft
The Kronstorf and Alkoven fire brigades, the high-altitude rescue team of the Axberg fire brigade and the command of the Linz-Land district fire brigade were alerted. The cesspool can be pumped empty and the missing farmer can actually be found in it. Unfortunately, there was no help for the man. An ambulance pronounced him dead. The 65-year-old may have drowned. The police are investigating.
