“Won’t stop” – climate activist Krumpeck in jail for two weeks

Date:

Martha Krumpeck, the well-known co-founder of the “Last Generation” in Austria, announced in a video on Tuesday morning that she will serve a replacement prison sentence of a total of two weeks at the police detention center in Vienna. She is part of the civil resistance.

The climate protection group announced this on its Twitter account. “If you see this video, I will be in jail for two weeks and serving an administrative sentence,” Krumpeck said in a video posted to Twitter.

100 km/h and stopping of new oil and gas wells
The government is unable to effectively protect the climate and ensure the survival of the people, according to the clip. On Tuesday, Krumpeck again demanded a 100 km/h speed limit on the autobahn and a halt to new oil and gas drilling in Austria from politicians.

“The scientific reports are more than unequivocal,” said the “Last Generation” activist. “And I won’t stop getting in the way until those first simplest measures are announced,” she said.

“Mega Action Weeks” announced for May
Krumpeck is considered the figurehead of the action group. The “last generation” recently announced “mega action weeks” for May. Important traffic junctions will be closed for another three weeks. The wave of protests will in any case be the largest to date, says spokesman Florian Wagner.

From May 2, important neuralgic traffic junctions and roads will be closed for at least three weeks.
