A 22-year-old from the Villach district is suspected of fraudulently offering a non-driving car for sale on the internet at the end of March. A 45-year-old from the Klagenfurt district bought the car for thousands of euros for his 17-year-old daughter.
On a trip from Klagenfurt to Maria Saal, the young driver suddenly could hardly control the vehicle; she had to leave it in a parking lot.
A later check in a specialized workshop revealed numerous serious defects with immediate danger. Before the sale, some things were provisional and not well repaired for a long time.
The victim suffered damage of several thousand euros. After completion of the investigation, the suspect will be reported to the Klagenfurt public prosecutor’s office.
