Since Thursday evening there is a luxury yacht in the port of Saint-Tropez. The ship still burned on Friday morning (photo above) because the firefighters had trouble getting on board the ship that threatens to take off.
The fire on the 41 -meter -long sea -Lame II had broken out for an unknown cause. Because the burning yacht could sink, barriers were installed in the harbor on the French Riviera to protect against pollution.
Countless spectators in the port
In photos in online networks you can see thick black smoke in the air above the port city of Saint-Tropez. As the AFP News Agency reports, countless spectators came together to film the Flames and the use of the Fire Brigade.
The Sea Lady II was built in 1986 and only renovated last year. The yacht is under the flag of Malta and can – for the proud amount of 80,000 euros per week in high season.
According to the “Charterindex” website, the ship offers space for eight crew members and a maximum of ten passengers, for which five huts are available with their own bathroom.
