There is currently an air raid alert across Ukraine. There were explosions in Kremenchuk, Poltava and Uman in central Ukraine and in Mikolayiv in the south. Explosions are also said to have taken place in the capital Kiev.
A woman and a two-year-old child were killed in an attack on Dnipro, Interfax news agency reports. According to the governor of the Cherkasy region, a rocket hit a residential building in the Ukrainian city of Uman (see tweet below). Three people were killed and eight injured.

Lots of fighting in Bakhmut
According to the Ukrainian army, Russian troops tried to cut off important supply routes and communication routes to the disputed city of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian Armed Forces spokesman in the east, Serhi Cherevatji, said on Ukrainian television that there had been 13 battles around Bakhmut in the past 24 hours.
With continuous counter-attacks, Ukrainian troops could have ensured that supplies could be brought in and the wounded evacuated, according to Cherevatji.
