Four cars broken – Alkolenker left a trail of destruction in Upper Austria

A 43-year-old got behind the wheel with a blood alcohol level of 1.23 and soon regretted it. In a left turn, the Innviertler (43) crashes into three cars. Two people were injured in the accident in Upper Austria.

Four broken down cars, but only two injured: Fortunately, a serious accident in the municipality of Pischelsdorf am Engelbach had no serious consequences. The crash was caused by a 43-year-old from St. Pantaleon. He got behind the wheel of a car even though he was drunk.

On a left turn, he eventually ended up in the oncoming lane, where three cars were driving in a row. In the first car that the alcohol driver rammed, there were three women (60, 81 and 58 years old) from Schalchen. All three occupants of the car were unharmed.

Against family car
Then the 43-year-old collided with the car of a woman from Gmunden. The 29-year-old was also unharmed in the collision. The 43-year-old’s car then turned off and collided head-on with the minibus of a 39-year-old from Eggelsberg.

Also in the minibus were the 37-year-old wife of the driver and their two children, aged 4 and 2. The 39-year-old was slightly injured in the frontal collision, his occupants were unharmed.

Stuck in the vehicle
The accident driver came to a stop with his car on the driver’s side in the adjacent forest area. He was trapped in his vehicle and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A subsequent breathalyzer test showed that the 43-year-old had a blood alcohol level of 1.28.
