That’s enough! A woman from Tullnerfeld receives ten wrong letters in one day. The problem has existed in Lower Austria for months. Only the house number matches your own address.
Attentive “Krone” readers still remember the problems with the delivery of letters and parcels in Gerasdorf near Vienna. But even without the difficulty of duplicate street names, the post office in Zeislmauer in the Tulln district is currently having serious problems assigning mail items to the correct recipients.
“Letter lottery” in the Tulln district
For months, according to one person affected, residents here have been receiving letters on which only the house number corresponds to their own address. “Initially, I brought the stray animals to the right recipient myself, just like we do in the countryside,” says Tanja Pfaffeneder. But at some point it became too much for the krone.tv presenter, she collected the wrong letters and brought a whole pack of them to the nearest post office in St. Andrä-Wördern.
But the willingness to help didn’t stop there: “The branch manager there wouldn’t even talk to me about the problem. I was asked to contact the post office’s general hotline,” says Pfaffeneder. Of course she did – but the angry customer must have been waiting for an answer until now. It is quite possible that this too just disappeared in the mail.
