The Dutch police are dealing with an unusual alcohol accident. Because the accident driver, who drove his car into a pillar in Groningen and then left it behind, pretended to be Boris Johnson.
As evidence, investigators seized a fake Ukrainian driver’s license, which contained not only a photo of the former British prime minister, but also his name and correct date of birth. According to media reports, the document is approved until the year 3000 (!).
The police did not fall for the “trick”.
“Unfortunately, we did not fall into the trap,” the police said on their Instagram page. Ukrainian “Boris Johnson” was caught not far from the scene of the accident. It is not yet known what punishment he will receive.
However, a Twitter user pointed out that similar counterfeits can be bought in souvenir shops in Ukraine. She herself has driving licenses from Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Angela Merkel, the woman explained (see tweet above).
