A man from Klagenfurt carried out a wild chase with police on the southern highway on Tuesday afternoon. The drugged driver even built an accident and fled on foot until he was arrested.
Shortly after 1 p.m., a police patrol on the southern highway noticed a man from Klagenfurt who was aggravated by unsafe driving. When officers tried to stop the car, the 23-year-old pressed the accelerator and sped away.
“In addition, the man from Klagenfurt hit the traffic control walls on the Autobahn at the Velden-West exit, causing the vehicle to be so badly damaged that it was no longer roadworthy,” the police said. The 23-year-old fled on foot over the highway after the accident.
Fled on drugs
The 18-year-old passenger was arrested by the police after the accident. Only after a body search could the 23-year-old be caught by the officials. It turned out that the man from Klagenfurt was on drugs and did not have a driver’s license.
“Various narcotics and narcotics, as well as ammunition for a CO₂ gun, were found and seized in the abandoned car,” police said.
