In Vienna-Leopoldstadt, a 48-year-old rammed into a police car with his car. This was on the way to surgery with blue flashing lights.
The driver of the patrol car drove into the Untere Donaustraße intersection, coming from Franz-Josefs-Kai over the Aspern Bridge, with the blue lights on. At the same time, a motorist (48) was driving on Untere Donaustraße towards Nordbrücke and wanted to cross straight ahead.
The driver of the patrol car and four other officers suffered minor injuries in the collision. The 48-year-old man and his passengers were unharmed. Emergency services from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service provided urgent medical assistance to the police officers at the scene. The injured then went to a hospital on their own.
