A suspected sex offender has been up to mischief in Fieberbrunn in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel in recent days. The man (22) is said to have sexually abused several girls and a woman. He even touched and kissed a girl. A witness then raised the alarm – a short time later the handcuffs clicked.
According to the police, the incidents in Fieberbrunn took place in the middle of this week. The suspect from the East African country of Burundi is said to have sexually harassed several girls and a woman – in this case verbally – on Wednesday. The girls immediately rode off on their bicycles.
Woman can prevent attempted touching
Some time later, the 22-year-old apparently wanted to get violent. “He tried to touch another woman indecently. However, the victim managed to prevent this,” the detectives said.
On Thursday, the alleged perpetrator finally struck again. “According to current knowledge, the African touched and kissed an underage girl near the Achenpromenade in Fieberbrunn,” the detectives continued.
Witness raised the alarm, suspect arrested
A witness observed and immediately raised the alarm. The police were eventually able to track down and arrest the obviously drunk man. Other victims are not excluded, they must report to the police station in Fieberbrunn (tel.: 059 133/7202).
After consultation with the public prosecutor’s office, the 22-year-old was taken to Innsbruck prison.
