In a spectacular accident on the B1 near Traun, a new BMW 325d was completely demolished. A 19-year-old had an accident with Dad’s car and was seriously injured.
A 19-year-old from Traun drove his car in Traun on Saturday at 2:35 am, coming from Wels towards Linz. The very young lead foot lost control of his vehicle on Wiener Bundesstraße 107 due to excessive speed and entered the green strip on the right side of the road.
First against a tree, then against a concrete pillar
The overturned car then apparently collided with the car roof against a cemetery tree and an overhead line pylon before coming to a stop on its wheels badly damaged. The enormous force of the impact ejected the entire engine block from the car and landed in the middle of the B1. The vehicle came to a stop in the green verge.
Too badly injured for alcohol test
The 19-year-old received first aid from the ÖRK Traun and the emergency doctor at the scene of the accident and was taken to a hospital in Linz with unknown injuries. Due to the serious injuries, an alcohol test was not possible. The car, which could no longer drive and was completely destroyed, had to be towed away.
Due to the accident, the B1 towards Linz was completely closed until 4:30 a.m. for the duration of the accident investigation and clean-up work.
New BMW belonged to unsuspecting father
The father and car owner was not very enthusiastic about the new “design” of his car. He came to the scene of the accident and, according to witnesses, was completely beside himself. Concern for the life of his son, who had secretly dared to take a tour, probably also played a role here…
