A Russian fighter jet on Friday approached a Polish plane flying over the Black Sea on a patrol flight for the EU border protection agency Frontex, according to Polish border guards. The Russian Su-35 fighter jet performed “aggressive and dangerous maneuvers”.
Due to the resulting turbulence, the crew of the Polish machine temporarily lost control of the turboprop aircraft that had dropped in altitude. The incident took place in international airspace within the operational area designated by Romania.
