Serious industrial accident Tuesday in Kirchdorf in the Tiroler Unterland: A 20-year-old forest worker was hit by a tree during logging work and was seriously injured. The young man had to be rescued with a helicopter rope.
There was a lot of bad luck involved! The 20-year-old resident was in Kirchdorf on Tuesday near the the so-called “Troirücken” was engaged in logging when a falling tree fell directly on a tree that had already been felled.

“It started moving and collided with the worker,” police said. The young man suffered serious injuries.
Helicopter rope rescue
The local population was rescued from the site using a helicopter rope and then flown to the accident hospital in Salzburg.
