MEPs also argue that neutral Ukraine does not provide more security in Europe. A “gray security zone” the size of Ukraine represents a “continuous temptation” for Russia today, it said.
Ukraine’s NATO membership would prevent such a security vacuum while strengthening NATO’s military capabilities. Future NATO summits are expected to pave the way.
