The trial of a criminal quartet at the Eisenstadt regional court ended on Wednesday afternoon with a verdict of guilty. The suspect must be behind bars for a maximum of six and a half years for theft or robbery and smuggling.
In February, three men and a young woman had to answer for the first time before the court in Eisenstadt for drug crimes, smuggling and theft. The accusations weighed heavily: the Chechen Sabu A., who had six previous convictions (currently serving a prison sentence for other crimes), together with his Lower Austrian ex-girlfriend Melissa W (25), a previously convicted Tunisian (38) and a Turkish VUT (25) who also had a criminal record robbed two Algerian drug dealers of their apartment in Vienna. Melissa W. served as decoy and made sexual advances towards the dealers. This allowed the quartet access to the apartment, where they stole money, mobile phones and drugs. High prison sentences

In the end, despite the best efforts of the lawyers, it settled four convictions! Sabu A. received another six years in prison and has to serve a total of nine years. For the Tunisian, there were six and a half years. Co-defendant Turk received three and a half years in prison, A.’s ex-girlfriend Melissa W., just like A., received two years in prison on top of her existing sentence. The 25-year-old was the only one to accept the verdict. She will be behind bars for a total of four years.
The Tunisian and the Turk asked for time to think, the Chechen immediately raised his voice and announced “full appeal”. The prison guards had to intervene several times because of the behavior of A….
